CLIO RSR PROJECT
Motorsport‑grade clubsport engineering.
What began as a simple intention to preserve a Clio RS 197 in factory condition gradually transformed into something far more deliberate. Over the years, the car stopped being a platform for casual upgrades and became a long‑term engineering project — a build shaped by purpose, discipline and a clear philosophy: functional performance above everything else. Every system was reconsidered from first principles. Every component was chosen not for appearance or trend, but for clarity, precision and repeatability.
Through thousands of kilometres, countless test sessions and an uncompromising approach to refinement, the project matured. Weight was reduced where it mattered, rigidity increased where it counted, and mechanical feedback sharpened until the car communicated with the driver in a way no factory Clio ever could. This was not a collection of parts. It was a cohesive clubsport concept — one that evolved slowly, methodically, and always with respect to the car’s original Renault Sport identity.
Despite its motorsport orientation, the interior remains fully usable in everyday driving. Automatic climate control, infotainment connectivity and carefully integrated electronics preserve essential comfort, while the cabin itself has been reworked into a focused clubsport environment. Visual noise has been reduced, ergonomics refined, and driver engagement elevated through supportive seating, enhanced pedal feel and a more direct interaction with the controls. It is a cockpit that feels mechanically honest, disciplined and purpose‑built.
From the functional aero package and airflow management to the refined exterior finish, every detail has been executed with accuracy and intent. The car has undergone a complete respray, meticulous paint correction and long‑term ceramic protection, restoring its exterior to true showroom condition. Genuine Renault Sport components — many rare and no longer available — integrate seamlessly into the build, reinforcing both its authenticity and its motorsport character.
Today, the Clio RSR Project stands as a fully developed, purpose‑built machine. The engine and peripherals have been comprehensively rebuilt and calibrated, delivering a level of response and consistency that reflects true engineering evolution. The chassis is defined by Renault Sport Cup hardware, reinforced architecture and a custom suspension package designed around the car’s wider track. Braking performance follows proven one‑make championship principles, while the wheel and tyre setup balances road refinement with track‑grade stability.
This is not a modified car. It is a fully sorted clubsport build, engineered with patience, technical depth and a clear vision. A car that has reached a level of maturity impossible to replicate with bolt‑on upgrades or short‑term projects. A car that reflects years of careful decisions, testing, refinement and respect for the Renault Sport ethos.
And above all, it is a car built to be appreciated by someone who understands what it represents:
a complete, functional, motorsport‑grade Clio RS — finished, balanced, and ready for its next chapter.
